Work stress is going to happen. Even when you have the job of your dreams, there are still going to be days where the stress of the project gets the best of you. The important thing is to be able to recognize and handle quickly the work-related stress so that it does not hurt productivity, nor your health!

First, start taking time each day to get out and get active! No matter if your day is a good one, physical activity is important for both your health, your quality of work, and your ability to handle stress when it does come your way. Therefore, schedule 30 minutes in the morning for a run. Or, if you prefer, break it up throughout the day in 10-minute increments. It doesn’t matter if you complete the 30 minutes in one setting, or three. It matters that you do it!
Also, talk to someone. Whether it is a friend, loved one, or counselor, sometimes getting it out there and talking through the issue that is causing stress can help you to find a quicker solution so that you can take a breath and not feel like you are breaking down.
Sleep is also vital in dealing with stress at work. Many of us are not obtaining the amount of sleep we need each night, which is around eight hours. Make sure you are making sleep a priority!
